Legal Practice:
Mr. Jacobstein has been a partner with the law firm of Kaman, Berlove, & Jacobstein, LLP, for more than 40 years. Mr. Jacobstein concentrates his practice primarily in the areas of matrimonial and family law, with an emphasis on representing individuals with high net worth and/or complex legal and financial issues. He is trained as a Collaborative Attorney, is “mediation friendly”, and is also an experienced litigator. He also assists clients with estate planning, corporate, and contract matters.
Professional Affiliations:
Mr. Jacobstein is a member of the Family Law Section of the New York State Bar Association and has served on the Board of Trustees of the Monroe County Bar Association.
He is also a member of the Monroe County Bar Association, Association of Collaborative Family Law Attorneys, and the Estate Planning Council. He is a volunteer attorney for the Volunteer Legal Services Project, providing pro bono legal services to indigent clients.
Mr. Jacobstein has been a guest speaker on a variety of subjects with the Estate Planning Council and the New York State and Monroe County Bar Associations of matrimonial practice and related subjects, including estate planning for the second marriage and prenuptial agreements.
Mr. Jacobstein has been an AV rated attorney with Martindale Hubbell, and named in Best Lawyers in America for many years. He has also been named to New York Superlawyers.
